The HK1010 is a mono LED VU meter designed for audio signal level indication. It is built using discrete electronic components and is suitable for various audio projects where visual indication of signal level is required.
The input signal is a low-level audio signal with a standard level of 0.750 V. The device is not intended to be connected directly to a loudspeaker output and operates with signal levels from 0.500 to 1 V.
For lower input signal levels, the gain can be increased by replacing resistor R1 with a higher value. The indication dynamics are determined by capacitor C3.
The device operates from a DC supply voltage in the range of 12 to 15 V. The printed circuit board dimensions are 104 x 36 mm.
