The HK9820 RGB LED color organ is a fully assembled module designed for audio visualization using RGB LED lighting. The device operates as a classic three-channel color organ, responding independently to low, mid, and high audio frequencies.
Audio input is captured via an electret microphone and amplified by an onboard preamplifier. The signal is then processed by three active filters, each corresponding to a specific frequency range and controlling a separate color channel of an RGB LED strip.
Overall input sensitivity is adjusted using a trimmer potentiometer. Each frequency channel also has its own trimmer potentiometer, allowing fine adjustment of brightness and response for each color.
The frequency bands are assigned as follows:
- High frequencies (HIGH) - approx. 3 kHz - Green,
- Mid frequencies (MID) - approx. 1 kHz - Red,
- Low frequencies (LOW) - approx. 200 Hz - Blue.
The three outputs are driven by MOSFET transistors, enabling direct control of high-power RGB LED strips. The module can drive up to 15 meters of 5050 RGB LED strip.
The device operates from a 12V DC supply. A 1-meter RGB LED strip is included in the package.
