The HK1693 phase regulator is a fully assembled module designed for smooth power control of electrical loads powered from the 230V AC mains. It can be used as a speed controller for drills and fans, a light dimmer, a power regulator for soldering irons, and other suitable loads within the rated power range.
The circuit is based on a triac and diac, providing bidirectional phase control with power losses of up to 3% and high efficiency of approximately 97%. This ensures stable and reliable operation with loads up to 3500 W.
The triac package is not galvanically isolated. When operating loads with power above 400 W, an appropriate external heatsink must be installed on the triac to ensure proper thermal dissipation.
As the device operates directly from hazardous mains voltage, all safety rules and precautions for working with high voltage must be strictly observed during installation and operation.
