The HK1690 phase regulator is a fully assembled module designed for smooth power control of electrical loads powered from the 230V AC mains. The device can be used as a speed controller for drills and fans, a light dimmer, a power regulator for soldering irons, and other suitable loads within the rated power range.
The circuit is based on a triac and diac, providing bidirectional phase control with very low losses of up to 3% and high efficiency of approximately 97%. This ensures reliable operation with loads up to 800 W.
The triac package is not galvanically isolated. When operating loads with power above 100 W, an appropriate heatsink must be mounted on the triac to ensure proper thermal dissipation.
As the device operates directly from hazardous mains voltage, all safety rules and precautions for working with high voltage must be strictly observed during installation and operation.
