The intercom is based on the LM386 integrated circuit, which operates as a low-frequency audio amplifier and amplifies the signal from an electret microphone. The device enables two-way voice communication between two stations.
The control button features one normally open and one normally closed contact. In its normal state, the unit is ready to receive audio. When the button is pressed, the unit switches to transmit mode.
The connection between the two stations is made via a two-wire line, allowing simple installation. The intercom operates from a DC supply voltage between 6 and 12 V and can be powered by a 9 V battery.
